What The Enemy Can’t Have

I start by saying this: the enemy is just that, an adversary. Someone who comes to kill your faith, destroy your potential, and steal your anointing. When the enemy tries to make a stronghold in your life, it will eventually take everything God has given you, but only if you allow it. The Word of God tells us that we have the authority to say to the enemy what he can’t have, and that is you, your family, your children, and their calling. We were once enslaved people to the world, but when we came to know Christ, we became heirs to the King, no longer slaves to the world or living in the influence of the enemy.

Since the beginning of 2026, all around me, including myself, have been struggling with everything under the sun, from sickness to loss. I have said once, “You never know the true state of your heart until you experience something that will reveal it.”

When tragedy struck, a group of women from the church I attend came together, covered them, helped where we could, and stepped into the gap when they couldn’t stand. But what was truly amazing was the praise. In the midst of the hurt, they told the enemy what he can’t have.

Though when we find ourselves going through life trials, we forget that we must rejoice and be glad in it. It is way easier to read the Scripture than to put it into practice when you’re standing in the middle of a storm. But like I’ve told the group, feel honored the enemy has taken notice of you; it means you’re doing something right, and he is angry.

If you have found yourself this year in the trenches, feeling like you are fighting for your life, remember: tell the enemy what he can’t have, find godly counsel, and hold onto Christ, knowing that He has you.

If you need prayer or want to share a prayer request, please comment or email me. I want to partner with you, pray for you, and over you. We are not made to walk this alone. Community is essential in our walk. Let the iron sharpen iron. Let us dig deeper into faith and show the enemy what he can’t have.

“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brothers and sisters who are in the world.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭

“As iron sharpens iron, So one person sharpens another.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭17‬ ‭

“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭2‬ ‭

“These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬
