Every believer in their walk will come to a point in a season when all they have is their faith.
Faith is the foundation of Christianity. You put your faith in Christ and believe He was crucified, buried, and resurrected. You live your life trusting that everything you experience is for your good and for a purpose.
Faith is easy when there are no obstacles to overcome.
John 16:33 tells us that we will experience trials in life. This tells me that I should be prepared. But in reality, you can only plan for so much. We don’t know when the seasons will change. So our job is to be ready when they do. And when they do, the strength of your faith depends on how you walk through it and how you come out of it.
Faith Leads To Testimony
I had the honor of hearing an amazing testimony from one of the ladies in a women’s small group that I attend, and I wanted to share a little bit about it because it is an amazing example of what faith does that leads to her testimony.
She told us that a few months ago, she received a letter saying her home would be foreclosed due to a legal loophole. She shared the news with her husband and instructed him to keep it between themselves because she had faith that God was going to do something in this. The reason was that she wanted others to see that it was only God who provided, and that no one else was intervening. So for months, she prayed, believing that God was going to do something miraculous. She didn’t pack, she didn’t look for another home. She simply lived her life, trusting in God. And let me tell you, He is an on-time God; even down to the very minutes, He is never late.
Just 24 hours before the home was going to go up for auction, a gentleman called. She told us she never answers a phone with a number she doesn’t recognize, but something told her to answer it anyway. Lo and behold, it was a gentleman calling to inquire about the house, and he was interested in purchasing it, even though the home was going to be auctioned the next day. If you have ever purchased a home, you know it takes time, so the gentleman said, “I’ll see what I can do, but no promises.” A few hours later, she received a phone call from the same number, and when she answered, the gentleman said It’s done, it’s finished. The home was no longer moving forward to auction, and on top of that, he overpaid for it, which left them with a surplus to put towards a new home.
While listening to this testimony, I was struck by her faith. Her faith led to a testimony that would be heard. That seed will be planted, and the Holy Spirit will water it.
I wanted to share this because I feel that others really need to hear this. I know many people struggle with their faith and walk, and I want to tell you that it is normal. We are human. But I also want to encourage you to keep going, even when it feels like there is no end in sight. You never know, someone else’s life may be changed by what you walk through.
When Testimony Leads to Seeds
Sometimes it’s hard not to question things you go through, I know because I’ve been there. It’s hard when you can’t see the big picture but faith plays a significant role. It’s fully trusting God. Faith is the evidence of things unseen.
Just like my friend, she had faith. Even though she didn’t know what the outcome would be, she knew that the Lord would provide. And because of that, she shared her testimony, planting seeds she may not even be aware of. Seeds of Hope and encouragement, knowing that whatever they’re facing, the Lord is by their side, the Lord will provide, and the Lord will be on time
